『カレリア』 おれの、一応まだ所属するハルモニア神聖国南部地方軍辺境警備隊。 その本部がある、グラスランドと接するハルモニアの最前線が、この街だ。
Caleria. Home of Holy Harmonia's Souther Frontier Defense Force, which I was once a member of. Their headquarters are Harmonia's foremost line of defense against Grassland.

ここを中心に、各地におれのような特殊任務潜入員や、傭兵のたぐいを使ってハルモニア国境付近でおきるあらゆる出来事に目をひからせている。
Around here, mercenary types and special infiltration units like me get deployed all over, keeping our eyes on the lookout for any events that come up around the border.

最近では、門の紋章戦争やら、先の都市同盟での騒乱やらで、きな臭いことが多くなって来ている。
Recently, with stuff like the Gate Rune War and the mayhem at the former City-States, there's been a lot of military movement.

ナッシュ
「さて、どうするか・・・・・」
Nash
"Now then, what to do....."

？？？？
「来たか・・・・ナッシュ。 待った甲斐があったよ・・・・・・」
????
"So you've come....Nash. Waiting really paid off......"



声に振り向いて、意外な顔におれは驚いた。 なんで・・・・・・・・
Turning towards the voice, I was surprised to see an unexpected face. Why........

ナッシュ
「・・・・・・・・・おれの行く末を気にしてくれる人間が、まだいるとは思わなかったな。」
Nash
".........I didn't think there was anyone still interested in my fate."

？？？？
「それで？ あんたはどこへ行く気だい？ 任務？ それとも・・・・・・・・・・・」

"So? Where'd you run off to? Was it a mission? Or was it..........."

ナッシュ
「やるかい？ おれを止める気なら、死ぬ気で来いよ。 あの時みたいにな・・・・・」
Nash
"Are you gonna do me in? I feel like if I stop, I just might die. Just like that time....."

？？？？
「あんたが、止めたって聞かない性格なのは小さい頃から、よく知っているさ。 ラトキエ家の坊や。」

"You never were one to listen when people told you to stop. I've known that since you were a kid. Latkje boy."

ナッシュ
「なら、どうして今ごろ現れた、レナ？」
Nash
"In that case, why'd you show up now, Lena?"



彼女の名は、レナ・スフィーナ。 スフィーナ家の息女で、おれの近衛隊時代の先輩で、ユーリとおれの叔母にあたる人物だ。 叔母って言ったって、年は三つしか離れていないが、ラトキエ家の分家にあたるスフィーナ家のこの人は、昔から苦手だった。
This lady's name is Lena Suphina. Daughter of the Suphina family, and my superior in the Temple Guards, she's Julie and my aunt. I say she's my aunt, but we're only three years apart, and as the Suphina family is a branch of the Latkje family, she's never liked me very much.

ナッシュ
「近衛隊のあんたが、なんでこんな所に？」
「いい加減、姉気取りはやめてくれないか。」
Nash
> "What's a Temple Guard like you doing in a place like this?"
> "Take it easy, could you stop with the big sis attitude?"

レナ
「近衛隊の方は、南部辺境の視察ってことにしてある。 なにしろ、ラトキエ家の親類縁者なんでね、隊長の方は、戻って来てほしくないみたいだったけど。」
Lena
"As a Temple Guard, there's times when I have to inspect the southern border. Anyhow, as a relative of the Latkje family, it looks like my commanding officers would rather I not go back."

ナッシュ
「それで？出迎えを頼んだ覚えはないぜ。」
Nash
"So? I don't remember asking for a welcome."

レナ
「・・・・・・・・ナッシュ、あんたに、一仕事手伝ってもらおうと思ってさ。」
Lena
"........Nash, there's a task I think you could help me with."

「おやおや。 レナお姉さん、レナお姉さんってスカートの端をつかんで、ついてまわっていたのは、どこの、おぼっちゃんだったかな？」
Lena
"My oh my. Where'd the little young master go who always followed me around, tugging at my skirts and calling me Big Sis Lena?"

ナッシュ
「わーーーーーーーっ！！ たのむよ、レナ。 いいかげん、昔のことは言いっこなしだぜ。」
Nash
"Aaaaahh!! I'm beggin' you, Lena. Calm down, let's not talk about the old days."

レナ
「それなら、ちょっとばかり仕事を手伝ってもらうよ。 嫌とは言わないよね。」
Lena
"In that case, I've got a little job you can help me with. I wouldn't call it unpleasant at all."



ナッシュ
「それで、手伝うってなんだい？ こっちも、ラトキエ家のコネは無し、あるのはこの身一つさ。」
Nash
"So, what's this thing you want help with? I don't exactly have any connections with the Latkje family, all I've got is my own body."

レナ
「それで、十分。」
Lena
"That's plenty."

ナッシュ
「お、おい・・・・・・ちょっと・・・ なんだよ、これ？」
Nash
"H-hey......wait...What the hell's this?"

レナは、有無を言わさずおれの両手を取ると、手錠をはめた。
Lena grabbed both my hands, and put on a pair of manacles.

レナ
「途中でカレリアに寄って来たんだけど、あんたには、捕縛命令が出ているんだよ。」
Lena
"Since we'll be stopping by Caleria on the way, I'm going to answer the arrest command."

ナッシュ
「へ・・・・なんで？ おれが何を・・・・・・・・・・」
Nash
"Wh....why? What did I.........."



レナ
「横領・・・・・・・・・ あんた、潜入作戦の前渡金もらったのに、最後のレポートを提出していないだろう？」
Lena
"Embezzlement.........Though you've been paid in advance for your infiltration tactics, you still have to file your final report, don't you?

ナッシュ
「あ・・・・・・・・・・・・・」
Nash
"Ah............."

たしかに、その通りだが消息を断ってから三ヶ月も経っているんだ。 死亡扱いになっていてもおかしくはないんだが・・・・・
Of course, that's true but it's been three months since I cut contact. Being treated like a death row prisoner isn't really funny.....

レナ
「さて、行こうか。」
Lena
"Now then, let's go."

ナッシュ
「ちょ、ちょっと待った！ おれを、警備隊に引き渡すって言うのか？ そりゃひどいぜ。 懸賞金がついているわけでもないだろう？」
Nash
"W-wait a minute! Did you say you were gonna hand me over to the Defense Force? That's cruel. We don't even know if there's a cash reward, right?"

レナ
「そんなものついているわけないでしょう。 それより、そんなにあわてなくても、たいしたことじゃないんだから、事情を話して、始末書の何枚か書けば大丈夫。 それに、あそこの警備隊長にはスフィーナ家の顔もちょっとはきくはずだからね。」
Lena
"Whether there is isn't really the point is it. Aside from that, being that disorganized isn't a big deal; if you explain the situation and hand in a bunch of written apologies, it'll be fine. Besides, the face of a Suphina family member should be pretty effective on the commanding officer there.

ナッシュ
「だ、だからって、こんな強引な・・・・」
Nash
"T-that's why I'm saying, don't use so much force...."



レナ
「それにね・・・・・ そろそろ、あんたを甘やかすのも終わりにしようと思ってね。 ユーリのもとに帰ってやるんだ。 あの娘がおまえを必要としていることぐらいわかっているんだろう？」
Lena
"Besides.....Soon enough I think your days of being pampered are gonna be over. You'll be going back under Julie's supervision. You know that girl needs you, don't you?"

ナッシュ
「・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・あぁ・・・・・わかってるさ・・・・・・ でも・・・・・・・・・・・・」
Nash
"...............Yeah.....I got it already......But............"

レナ
「さぁ、わかったら行くよ。」
Lena
"Well, if you got it then let's go."

やはり、この人は苦手だ・・・ 引きずられながら、そう思った・・・・
I knew she didn't like me...That what I thought, as she dragged me along....
