愛らしい外見とは裏腹に残酷な精神の持ち主
An adorable appearance hides cruel intentions
人間に羽根をつけて、サイズを数十分の一にしたような容姿を持つ種族。羽ばたくと羽根が緑色に発光し、その姿は非常に幻想的である。しかし、可憐な外観に反して性格は醜悪で、相手を口汚く罵ることに無上の喜びを感じる。通常、森の中で集団生活を営んでいるが、特に規律があるわけではなく、各個の意志で自由にほかの場所に移り住むことが許されている。また、外見上はすべて男に見えるが、雌雄同体のため性別は存在しない。
A race of winged humans, their size seemingly shrunk by many tenths. Their flapping wings glow green, their forms incredibly wondrous to see. However, contrary to this lovely exterior is an ugly disposition, someone who finds the greatest joy in abusing their partner with foul words. Usually, they carry out a communal lifestyle within the forest, but this does not necessarily mean that they have any sort of rules, as they are each free to move wherever they like of their own will. Also, while outwardly they all appear to be male, as they are hermaphrodites they do not make distinctions between the sexes.

契約はフェアリーが一方的に持ちかけたもので、弟を失って激しく動揺しているレオナールの心の隙を突いて、強引に契約を結んでしまう。モンスターにとっては、契約者の”負の感情”こそが何より甘い蜜となるため、事あるごとにレオナールを辱める発言を浴びせ、それによってレオナールが自己嫌悪に陥るさまを楽しんでいる。
The pact was a one-sided offer from Fairy, stabbing at the chinks in Leonard's heart while he was still shaken from the loss of his brothers, a pact completed through forced coercion. For monsters, the "negative emotions" of a pact holder is the all-time sweetest nectar; thus Fairy flooded Leonard with insulting words, finding enjoyment in watching him fall into self-loathing.

◉ The Fairy King and the other fairies
妖精の住処である「封印されし森」には、妖精たちを束ねる”妖精王”が長として君臨し、外敵から集落を守っている。本来、陽気な性格の彼らだが、非常に排他的な一面もあり、人間のことは「臭い匂いがする」として嫌っている。また、か弱げな外見からは想像もつかないしたたかさを持ち、ドラゴンを前にしても決して怯むことはない。
In the fairies' dwelling place, the Forest of the Seal, the Fairy King has long reigned over the fairies and held them under his command, protecting the village from foreign invaders. While they're originally of a very cheerful nature, they're also incredibly exclusive, and dislike humans because "They smell bad". Again, with their fragile appearance, one would never imagine how stubborn they are, to the point that they would not falter even before a dragon.

Two superior spirits that govern fire and water
火・水・風・土の４大元素を司る精霊を総称して４大精霊といい、そのうち火を司るのがサラマソダー、水を司るのがウンディーネである。いずれもはっきりとした実体を持たず、常に２体で一緒に行動している。サラマソダーは厳格な男性のような、ウンディーネは清楚な女性のような語り口を持つが、彼ら精霊に性別は存在しない。人間や亜人などの、確たる肉体を持つ生物と異なり、どちらかといえば霊的な存在に近い種族である。
The spirits that govern the four major elements, fire, water, wind, and earth, are collectively referred to as the four great spirits; of these the ruler of fire is Salamander, and the ruler of water is Undine. The two do not possess distinct forms, and are constantly moving together. Salamander has a strict and masculine way of talking, while Undine sounds more feminine, but as spirits they do not have real genders. Unlike humans, sub-humans and the like, they are creatures which do not possess physical bodies, closer to a ghost-like species than anything.

◉ The pact with Arioch
サラマソダー＆ウンディーネとアリオーシュの契約も、レオナールと同様にモンスター側から一方的に持ちかけられたものである。連続殺人犯として砂漠の牢獄に投獄されていたアリオーシュは、すでに精神が崩壊しており、まともな思考ができる状態ではなかった。しかし、その余りにも強い”負の波動”が、２体の精霊を惹きつけたのだった。
The pact between Salamander, Undine, and Arioch was, like Leonard, a one-sided offer from a monster. Having been thrown in the desert prison as a serial killer, Arioch's mind had already fallen apart, and was not in any state to think clearly. However, the two spirits were fascinated by her overly powerful "negative emotions".

火と水を司るサラマソダー＆ウンディーネのほかには、風を司るシルフ、土を司るノームが、４大精霊として知られている。いずれも、確たる実体を持たず霊的な存在に近い。なお、これ以外の精霊系モンスターとしては、炎の化身イフリートや、悪霊とも呼ばれるゴースト、レイス、スピリットなどが存在する。
Aside from the rulers of fire and water, Salamander and Undine, the ruler of wind is Sylph, and the ruler of earth is Gnome; they are known as the four great spirits. Each of them is without a distinct form, an existence something like a spirit. Moreover, aside from this spirit group of monsters exists the avatar of flame, Ifrit, and evil spirits called Ghosts, Wraiths, Spirits and the like.

巨大かつ堅牢な身体を誇るモンスター
A monster boasting a gigantic solid body
岩の塊でできた、恐ろしく堅牢な身体を持つモンスター。自然界に元々存在する生き物ではなく、無機物である岩に疑似生命を与えられて誕生した。そのため知性や思考能力などは極めて低い。また、性別も存在せず、生殖によって増えることもない。モンスターというより、巨大な操り人形といったほうがより近いだろう。だがその分、純真で、契約相手であるセエレへの愛は深い。まるで我が子のように、その圧倒的な質量を持つ岩の巨体で守り抜く。
Monsters with tremendously solid bodies, made from clusters of rock. Not a living creature originally found in the natural world, they are artificial life given to rocks to create inorganic beings. Because of this their intelligence, thinking ability and the like are extremely low. As well, there is no distinction of individual sexes, and they are unable to multiply through reproduction. Though they are called monsters, it might be better to say that these creatures are gigantic marionettes. But that particular one, in becoming a pact partner, did it sincerely out of an intense affection of Seere. That overwhelmingly massive lump of rock will protect him to the very end, almost as if he were its own child.

ゴーレムとセエレの契約は、一般的な例とは大きく異なる。通常、契約は人間の強い憎悪などの”負の感情”なしには成立しないが、セエレは純真無垢でそれには当てはまらない。だが、知性の極めて低いゴーレムは、自らの利を考えず、天涯孤独となったセエレの身だけを案じた。そう、それはまさしく”無私の愛”による契約だったのである。
The pact between Golem and Seere was entirely different from the usual methods. Generally, without "negative emotions" such as hate from the pact-holding human the pact would not come into existence, but in his purity Seere does not fulfill that requirement. But Golem, with its extremely low intelligence, did not think of its own interests, and was concerned only with the health of the orphaned Seere. Yes, this was without a doubt a pact made through "selfless love".

帝国軍はさまざまなモンスターを配下に取り込んでいるが、その中にはゴーレムも含まれる。付与魔術師によって召還されるゴーレムは非常に強大で、カイムの剣術をもってしても傷１つ負わせることができない。なお、その種類として、岩で作られたストーンゴーレムと、泥から生み出されたマッドゴーレムの存在が確認されている。
The Imperial Army takes in a wide array of monsters as its subordinates, and among them are golems. Assigned to the control of magicians, the golems are exceedingly powerful, and Caim's sword could not leave a single mark on their bodies. Furthermore, of the different varieties, mineral-made Stone Golems and Mud Golems born from clay have been confirmed to exist.
