Florian meets Hamtaro!!! - written by you

It was a moment of shared curiosity on both sides: Florian had never seen a hamster before, and what hamster had ever seen a kid with green hair? They stared at each other for a good long moment (read: a few seconds) before Hamtaro tilted his head in his usual questioning manner.

Florian copied it.

It wasn't long after that the two of them were running around the garden, rolling in the grass, acting like A Boy And His Hamster - if that made any sense. Even if one was vastly larger than the other, it was fun just lying there and watching the little creature run back and forth, or attempt to build little obstacle courses for it.

"I'm going to call you Mohs, okay?" he'd said at some point, because his new friend needed a name, and he'd much rather Mohs be this than that scary purple blob he'd turned into before. And Hamtaro had - if not accepted it - at least gone along with it, because who ever heard of a human understanding hamsters anyway?

Somebody somewhere once said "When it rains, it pours." The sentiment spread, became a popular saying, etc, etc--but of course this is a pretty negative saying, isn't it?

Which is why Elmer, in an attempt to prove it wrong, was now huddled under a tree in an attempt to weather the storm.

"I guess Huey won this time..." Awkward laughter was interrupted by an incredibly loud sneeze.

It didn't let up until he'd caught pneumonia - as if the elements were hoping to finally see him frown. (They lost.)

Sync knew exactly how he'd gotten himself into this ridiculous situation, and regretted every action that had led up to it. Not that regrets would help - he was here, in the library, looking for a stupid cookbook because he'd somehow found himself challenging his original over superiority for a skill neither of them had.

"Hey hey Sync, how about cookies? They're really easy to make!"

He glanced at Florian, who was holding up a dessert book and hopefully bouncing up and down on his feet. It was kind of irritating. But if cookies were an easy option....he begrudgingly took the book, ignoring his brother's victorious smile as much as he could.

In the end, Ion (the judge) declared the contest a tie due to the fact they'd somehow managed to destroy the kitchen, and when Anise found out the four found themselves spending the rest of the day in the garden.

As the original Ion sat back and watched his replicas attempt to cover Sync in flower crowns, he couldn't help but think:

A little peace every once in a while isn't so bad.

Van's would be pretty funny actually. The original can be the one who actually messed up the most and makes Van come running in and then he just points at the others while Sync is all "YEAH YEAH BLAME IT ON THE REPLICAS, HUH!?" and then Van believes him because he's Van and Original is his favorite...

...but he still gets grounded. :|

"The Great Ikki-sama demands it!!" Phrases like that never failed to make him--well, no, he was always smiling, but he did enjoy them anyway. It was hard to say no to demands like that, no matter how weird they might happen to be.

And so it was that Elmer found himself struggling to lift a bucket of green dye (non-toxic, of course) out the window and over Kazu's unsuspecting head. He'd ask why he was doing this but hey, why not? They'd all laugh this off in the end, and that was more than enough to satisfy.

It's been a long time since he had a proper night's sleep - one without voices or guilt - and he can't help but find it laughable that he's spending these guilt-free days tending to the bird he'd sworn revenge on all those years ago. He laughs to himself, a quiet chuckle as he pushes Isa's wheelchair along the winding park road.

"Have you found something particularly amusing back there, or are you starting to lapse into a new form of insanity?"

He only smiles at the slightly painful jibe, lifting his gaze towards the clear blue sky. No matter how many tragedies life might have brought, the sun was still shining as bright as ever.

"I was just marveling at what a nice day it is."

"I know, but I got this delicious cake from Speran's place and I thought, hey, this looks like the perfect thing for a birthday celebration! And birthday presents are sure to make people smile, right? So come on, Huey, smile!"

"Hmm...Hey Monica! Would you like some cake? I got it for Huey's birthday!"

"I-it's his birthday!? Oh, um, happy birthday, Huey! I'm sorry, I didn't realize, so I didn't get you anything..."

"....It's fine. Thank you."

And so Monica helped Elmer get a miniature victory that day (not quite a smile, but something more than the usual Huey-face), which was more than rewarding enough to negate Speran's later disapproval at his having stolen delicious baked goods meant for visiting ladies.
