Youth:　I'm currently traveling the world in search of rare creatures. According to a young blonde man I met earlier, there should be some sort of "mythical beast" around this area. I'd sure love to see it.... Oh yeah, the guy's looking for people to help him excavate the ruins west of here. Maybe you could go check it out, if you've got the time.



Kurapika: Are you here to help out with today's excavation?



Kurapika: I'm Kurapika. These ruins here hold a connection with my tribe, the Kuruta clan. Well then, let's go in.



Kurapika: This looks like a maze. Stay close to me. If you get lost, just sing a song. I'll sing too. I may not look it, but I'm pretty proud of my singing and dancing skills. I'm a singing, dancing hunter. [you can't actually sing in this game, and he immediately wanders off without you.]



Kurapika: I'm a little worried whether we're heading in the right direction. Don't worry, though. [he turns around slowly, there's chain noises] My Dousing Chain can point out the correct path for us. [he heads into one of the doors, you follow him through some more paths and stuff 'til you reach a large room] This is a holy ground.



Kurapika: This is...?!



Kurapika: According to this, there was a creature with the same red eyes as the Kuruta Clan, which lived in Bahtbik Village in ancient times?! [turning to you] Bahtbik Village is a day's journey by train. If it's alright with you, I'd like you to come with me.

Kurapika: Thank you. Well then, once we get out of her we'll head straight for Bahtbik Village. I'm going to the neighboring city to prepare for the trip. I'll wait for you in front of the station, so once you've finished your own preparations, find me there.



Kurapika: Hm? I wonder what they're doing over there?



Director: Cuuuuuuuut! Hey, who are you guys? You're disrupting the show. Outta the way!

Kurapika: Er, I'm in charge of protecting this ruin--



Director: Hmm? Wait a minute, lemme get a look at your face. .....Not bad. I can use you!

Kurapika: ???

Director: Hey, you, ever considered showbiz? You've got the makings of a real star.

Kurapika: No, I, uh--

Director: It just so happens our lead actor got an injury and we're looking for a replacement. Perfect timing! Right, that's settled!

Kurapika: Er, but I haven't--

Director: [turning around] Let's get you fitted for your costume! Oh, and we'll have to call Make-up too!




Kurapika: I never imagined things would turn out like this.

Kurapika: I see... No, don't worry about it. I'll be preparing for departure in the neighboring city, so if you change your mind, feel free to call on me. For now, let's get out of here.

Leorio: Yo, Aitelle! Fancy meeting you here. 'stead of standing around like this, how about we have a nice long chat over there?

Leorio: ...I see. So you became a pro hunter too, huh? But y'know, it's no good to be satisfied just at passing the hunter exam. You hear me? To become a true hunter, you've gotta learn about Nen! Leorio: Thanks for treating me back there. I've been studying to be a doctor, y'know, so I haven't been doing so great finance-wise.



Old Lady: Wait, you with the glasses.



Leorio: Huh? Me?

Old Lady: I just now received a revelation. I need to tell the first bespectacled man to pass through here about a great treasure.

Leorio: A treasure? What are you talking about?

Old Lady: You must head 50 kilometers from here, in the direction the sun sets. There you will find the treasure.

Leorio: 50 kilometers in the direction the sun sets? Uuhh...?

Old Lady: The village of Bahtbik.

Leorio: If you already knew then why didn't you just say so in the first place!

Old Lady: I just got that revelation a second ago.

Leorio: I don't know if we can trust this old granny...So what's this treasure of yours supposed to be?

Old Lady: That I don't know.

Leorio: Gah!

Old Lady: However, whoever obtains that treasure will be cured of any illness in an instant.

Leorio: Are you serious?

Old Lady: That's what the revelation says.



Leorio: There's no way I can ignore this if it's true. I'm gonna go get ready for a trip to Bahtbik Village. If you're interested too, come meet me at the station.

Leorio: Hey Aitelle, did you decide to come with me?

Leorio: Great, then let's get going. Uhh let's see, the two of us together would cost....right. Okay, I've got enough money to get us to Bahtbik Village. Should we take the bus or the train? I'll leave that up to you.

Leorio: So this is Bahtbik Village, huh. We got here pretty fast, too, thanks to that limited express train.

[we walk out into the plaza]

Leorio: Oh...! Isn't that Kurapika over there...!?

[kurapika stands off at the edge of the plaza, looks around, then leaves]



Leorio: [whispering] I bet he's after the same thing as us. If we follow him, our search for the treasure will be that much easier!

[we run after kurapika!]

Leorio: Where'd that guy go? [repeats this on every screen as we chase him]



Leorio: Is the creature Kurapika's looking for in this soggy swamp?

[kurapika turns around]

Kurapika: Who's there!!

Leorio: Crap! He found us!



Kurapika: Leorio? Why are you following me?

Leorio: Heeyy...it's been a while since we met, no reason to make such a scary face.

Kurapika: I've always looked like this. More importantly, answer the question. What are you following me for?

Leorio: Because we've got the same goal, right? And 2 or 3 heads are better than 1, in my opinion.

Kurapika: You're suggesting we cooperate?

Leorio: That's it exactly.

Kurapika: No thanks. [leaves]

Leorio: Hey, don't be so cold, come on...!

Kurapika: Stop following me! If you follow any farther I won't be able to guarantee your safety! [actually leaves!]



Leorio: Hmph! If you thought I'd back down from a little thing like this, you don't know the Great Leorio.



Leorio: Who's that old guy...?

[they have a long conversation out of earshot, then the old man leaves]

Kurapika: ....Right, I get it now. That pyramid-shaped hill is--where I'll find the creature with scarlet eyes. [leaves]

Leorio: Did you hear that? Sounds like the animal's on that hill.

Leorio: Yaaaawn~! That bus ride took forever. There's nothing we can do this late at night...guess we'll start our search tomorrow. Let's look for an inn, for now.



Innkeep: Welcome.

Leorio: We'd like rooms for the two of us.

Innkeep: One night with two meals costs 10000 jenny per person, or 5 thousand with just breakfast - an overnight stay without meals would be 3 thousand.

Leorio: We'll go with the 3 thousand jenny package.

Innkeep: Understood. Go up the stairs over here, and your room will be the one farthest to the back.



Leorio: Oof! I'm' so hungry I can't sleep...!

[his cellphone rings]



?????: Hello there, Rioleo ♥

Leorio: It's Leorio! Not Rioleo!

?????: Do you remember who I am? ♣

Leorio: That voice...it's Hanzo!

?????: If you keep joking like that, I'll hang up ♠

Leorio: Hisoka, right? What're you calling in the middle of the night for?

Hisoka: I thought I'd give you a hint on the location of that treasure ♥ Do you want to hear it?

Leorio: Is it free?

Hisoka: I know perfectly well there's no point in asking money for it ♠ You're staying in a one-night 3 thousand jenny room, aren't you? ◆

Leorio: Free it is. What's your info then? Hurry up and tell me.

Hisoka: Search for the river where the blue dragon sleeps ◆

Leorio: Huh? What's that supposed to mean?

Hisoka: Well then, goodnight. Byyeee...♥

Leorio: Wait a minute! What did that mean!? Hey, Hisoka!...Dammit! He hung up on me. "The river where the blue dragon sleeps"? I can't make heads or tails of that. Well anyway, let's go to bed for today.

[you're given the option to stay up here, but all that does is let you run aimlessly around the room...so bed it is!]

Leorio: Yaa~awn. Alright, we'll start tomorrow then. Goodnight.....

[next morning]

Leorio: Right, let's get looking for that "river where the blue dragon sleeps"! [if you talk to him again] A blue dragon, huh...does a thing like that really exist?

[and then after running through literally every available area and talking to everyone but the mailman]



Leorio: This must be the river where the blue dragon sleeps. Though it looks like we're a lot more likely to find a catfish than a dragon around here.



Leorio: Oh...! Let's try asking the old man fishing over there.



Leorio: Hey gramps, have you heard any rumors about strange creatures being sighted around here?

Old Man: ...

Leorio: Hey! I'm talking to you, gramps!

Old Man: ...

Leorio: I guess he must be deaf...HEY! GRAMPS! HAVE YOU HEARD!

Old Man: [turns around] Can't you be quiet!? You'll scare the fish! [turns back again]

Leorio: Oh, so he heard me after all.

Old Man: On the mountain to the north lives Genbu; to the south is the swamp where Suzaku dwells; down the path to the west is Byakko; in the river to the east, Seiryuu sleeps.

Leorio: The heck're you talking about?

Old Man: And in the center of those four is...[he turns to point] That.

Leorio: Over there?! So it's over that way, right?! [if you talk to him afterwards] Alright! Let's get to that hill, on the double!

[ruuuuunning to the hill in question]

Leorio: There should be an entrance around here somewhere. [and after digging around a bit]



Leorio: You found it! It's the entrance!



[we jump into the hole! there's a large and entirely empty ruin! eventually though, the team finds a mysterious room.]



[the screen shakes! leorio curiously approaches the wall, and is greeted by a squeaky dragon noise.]



Leorio: Aaagh!! A-a dragon! There's a dragon in here!! [turning to look at protag-kun] Run! No matter how you slice it, a dragon's way too big to face! [bonk] Argh! I tripped! Aaaahhh! Don't eat meee~!



Leorio: Huh? What a tiny dragon. By any chance...is this the treasure? [getting closer] Don't fret. I'm just gonna take a little blood sample here.

[after the credits...]



Leorio: Go on now, run. Go wherever you want. [squawk!] We've got this serum now. With the little guy's help, I'm setting up a clinic here. You'll help out, right? Alright! Things're gonna get busy around here...!
