I was looking up something for my Eternia skit translations and came across the official Japanese Eternia website, with character….interviews…..so here they are!

Introducing Farah
Meredy: Today we are talking about Farah from Meredy’s view. (she lowers her voice) Secretly! Umm, Farah’s hair is dark green. The ends go in all different directions. Farah says it is her natural hair, but Reid told me it is called “bed head”. Which one is true?

Reid: I can settle that. It’s bed head. Hey, did you know? Farah gets up faster than I do in the mornings.

Meredy: Farah is always trying her best. She cannot ignore people in trouble. She has helped Meredy a lot. She’s very kind. Farah is always saying No problem! When Farah says that, all of us wonder if that’s right. She goes forward even when it’s scary. But, there are a lot of times where there is a tiny misunderstanding. Then there is a problem after all. That is what you call legless…no, reckless. Reid often gets scolded for saying that.

Reid: I’m always the one who has to clean up after her in the end…. Farah’s smiling face when she gets an idea is a terrifying thing to look at. You’ll understand soon enough, Meredy.

Meredy: But, everybody loves Farah. She is very reliable. I think it would be nice if I was a big sister like Farah, with my own brothers.

Introducing Meredy
Farah: Hmm, so we’re talking about Meredy? When she fell from the sky, right in front of us, I was really scared. We didn’t understand a word she said, but her need for help got through to us. When you look at how adorable she is, you can’t help wanting to protect her with all your might!

Keele: In my opinion, she’s nothing more than a particularly interesting research specimen.

Farah: Meredy might be naive, often innocently saying things she shouldn’t, but–

Keele: She’s way too innocent! She doesn’t have a lick of common sense. The more you talk to her, the more you gradually start to feel numb.

Farah: She can be surprisingly mature when it comes down to it.

Keele: ……….

Farah: It’s sort of like a transformation from a little girl to a grown woman! Her light purple hair looks almost transparent in the sun, it’s beautiful. She even makes my old hand-me-down farming dress look stylish… As a fellow girl, I really want to follow Meredy’s example with her innocent charm and honest personality.

Introducing Reid
Farah: So I guess we’re introducing Reid today? Reid is my childhood friend. We’ve been together as long as I can remember, we’re so close it’s like we know everything about each other…and yet you could also say we’re so close we don’t see anything at all…. Anyway, the Reid I know often gazes up at the sky. When we were little we’d often do it together, but–how long has it been since then? I don’t have the time for that anymore. But Reid still keeps watching the sky. When he does, it feels like he’s really far away.

Keele: Far away? Farah, don’t tell me you think he’s meditating or something? When he stares up at the sky he’s usually thinking nothing at all - or if he is, he’s just wondering what’s for dinner. I’m sure of it!

Farah: Reid’s always saying things like “It’s fine as long as people do their own jobs,” but I doubt he knows nothing outside of what’s necessary for life in Rashuan. If only he’d follow Keele’s example, and gain a little interest in learning… No matter how good he is with the sword, it’s a problem if he’s got no common sense.

Keele: Exactly! In this world, information is indispensable. To have knowledge is to hold power. If you run around waving a sword at random, you’re sure to be bound by limitations. Systematic study is vital in any situation.

Farah: To sum it all up, Reid’s a stubborn loner. But I’m not leaving him alone! Because…he’s my childhood friend, after all.

Introducing Keele
Meredy: When I first met Keele, he seemed…difficult. When I tried to talk to him…baiba! It really was difficult.

Reid: He just likes using difficult words. It’s a particularly infectious occupational disease among university graduates.

Meredy: He’s always yelling at Meredy, or watching me. He’s scary, scary. Farah says he has his cute moments, but Meredy thinks things like Quickie are what’s cute. If Keele is cute, does this mean Keele and Quickie are the same?

Reid: I think that’s different… Then again, as a guy I can’t tell at all what about Keele could be cute. Maybe it’s That? Are cute kids the ones that get pushed down into ravines?

Meredy: (confused) Ooohhh…Meredy doesn’t understand at all!

Reid: Sorry. It’s hard to explain.

Meredy: But you know, Keele is important to Farah and Reid both. Meredy likes Farah and Reid. I am sure that if they like Keele, he must somehow be a good person. Probably…. Meredy wants to hurry and make friends with him!

Introducing Inferians
Farah: Inferians all generally have pale skin. When we get sunburns, our skin gets all red, it really hurts. Our hair color is pretty dark. We don’t like gloomy appearances. Because Inferia has gentle winds and radiant sunlight, I want to stand among the multicolored flowers and let my hair blow together with them….

Reid: That’s, uh…before we talk about Inferians’ hair colors and all that stuff, isn’t the problem here your own grooming?

Farah: That’s right! Speaking of flowers, take note of the clothes Inferians wear! Isn’t it beautiful, how everyone wears all sorts of colors, regardless of social status? It’s a vegetable dye from Rashuan. Currently, when you talk about Rashuan dyes, Donies flowers are mainstream, but the clothes Reid and I wear are dyed with Puchie flowers, which grow near the town. Dying farm clothes with this flower was the beginning of Rashuan dyes. So I guess you could say it’s the founder of the trade!

Introducing Quickie
Meredy: Haina, I got it~♪ If it is Quickie we are talking about, you can leave it to Meredy! Ever since a long, loooong time ago, Meredy and Quickie have always been together. Quickie’s technical name is Potto Rabittinus. Potto Rabittinus…it is very hard to say. That is why Meredy says Quickie instead. Because it says Quickie, I gave it that name. Ehehe.

Keele: What a simple explanation. …Huh? If I were to name it? Let’s see…I suppose I’d call it Tail. Y-you’ve got it wrong! My naming sense isn’t similar to Meredy’s at all! The name “Tail” is a clear-cut display of its outward appearance, which— (Editor’s note: The rest was omitted due to length)

Meredy: There are not normally any people who could name Potto Rabittinus. Because it’s a laboratory animal, you see. People do not normally get attached to laboratory animals. But Quickie quickly became friends with Meredy. Things that are not normal, are sometimes wonderful things.

Introducing Celestians
Reid: Celestians are the people who live in the world we can see above us, from Inferia. (he lowers his voice) Just between you and me, I heard they’re a savage and frightening race. They’ve got horns, and sharp fangs, and stiff hair all over their bodies… Hear that? Terrible, right? As a kid, whenever I went too far with my pranks my dad would threaten to send me to Celestia.

Farah: Things like “If you don’t go to bed the Celestians will take you away.”

Reid: …Well, it’s been two thousand years since we stopped relations with their world, so I’m not sure how you could send anybody there, but I was a kid, after all. I’d get so scared I’d be crying while I apologized. …But, when you think about it, what kind of life do Celestians actually live? I’ve been wondering about that lately.

Farah: I think about that too sometimes! There might be all sorts of things we still know nothing about, out there.
