Yes, I've been working on the patch on my own! It's definitely beta right now; I haven't gone past the festival in terms of checking for errors and things, but considering how long it's been going I might as well put out what I've got, right?

As for voices, I'm sad to say I don't know how...I've gone back to working on my own since the Tumblr group seems to have mostly disappeared, and I'm still learning as I go. I've been adding a few of the script changes that were in the PSP game, though, so there's that!

Hi! First of all, thanks for translating and making the patch for Akaaka!!

Just wanted to point out that there seems to be an error with the patch at the point during the first day, the scene with the sennen cat. Basically a screen freeze with error box popping out.

I just played with the new patch you uploaded, and it seems that the scenes after the first meeting with Tsubaki/ after the third choice in the festival has all turned into Japanese.

Hi, it's me again. I managed to finish Tougo end!! Just want to update you a bit about the errors.

1. I managed to find an ingenious way of bypassing errors. Basically, just save before the scene with errors, remove the patch and move forward in japanese, save again and the put back the patch. That's sort of how I finished Tougo's route. (still it's a bit annoying though)

2. Errors. So I basically got curious and managed to find a way to extract your patch file out to see and what went wrong.
a. The Sennen Cat scene problem was not about the title but it turns out you accidentally type one of the line as @endmessages instead of @endmessage.
Basically the extra "s" is the problem.

b. I suspect the problem with some of your titles is quite simple
@title name="&tf.title+ '---　Someday I'd like to laugh with you'"
An example from one your titles. I suspect the problem is because of the contraction (I'd). By removing it, you should be able to counter the error.

*Basically, due to the fact you use an apostrophe, it leads to an error because if you look carefully, the apostrophe is used to mark the start and the end of the title. So, you have already indicate the end of your title. (I hope you get it)

So, you don't need to change the titles back to Japanese anymore!!
I'll try to provide you with a list of titles with errors later.

c. There is one major error involving all the lines of the two akujiki, starting from the akujiki conversation. (a_03_61) All lines of theirs cause an error until the end. I'm not sure why though. I basically skip pass all their scenes in japanese and read the translations on the site.

It looks like you're right about it not accepting punctuation in titles - I'm pretty sure there wasn't any in the Sennen Cat scene though, so it might be a combination of punctuation and length, as title length was the issue in another game I tried working on a few months back.

As for the akujiki issue - could you give more detail? Is a_03-61 unreadable, or does the game freeze up like with previous errors? Does it start from the very beginning of that scene, or in scenes after?

I don't think the Sennen Cat scene was about title though, since it occurred in the middle of the scene. Usually a title error occurs at the start of the scene. Anyways, I believe the error is due to what I mention in 2(a) in the comment before.

Comma seems to work fine for the titles just apostrophe.

For the akujiki scene, it is probably related to the lack of naming for the characters? It's like the previous errors, but only occurs on the akujiki lines. a_03_61 is unreadable because it is a scene with only the two akujiki, but other scene tends to fail only when the akujiki appears.

Hello, and thanks for the update! I've actually lost my save so it'll be a while before I can unlock that scene again myself, but luckily it appears to have been a very simple error! (Apostrophes in the title tend to break the game.) Please feel free to tell me if any more problems come up, and I'll check them out when I can.

Hello! All you need to do is take the .xp3 file, go to the Akaaka folder in your computer, and drop it in. On my computer that'd be C:\Program Files (x86)\HaccaWorks\あかやあかしやあやかしの right in the same folder with the game's .exe file.

Ah, the update log might look confusing because I'm listing each scene according to its file name! The latest updates being togo files mean I've moved past the common route and am currently going through the Tougo path.

The patch should be 100% English, all my edits these days are focused mainly on getting the text to properly fit in the boxes (as a one-man translation team I don't have anyone else helping on that front), and also making small translation fixes while I'm at it.

Hello, I somehow discovered AkaAka just now and searched for the game and found your patch~! I just wanted to say, thank you very much for your hard work! I played the VN for days and now got all but one of the endings myself, and I'm planning to play the PSP version if I have the time after~! I will go through the additional translations tomorrow and try to get the last ending... also, not that it's too important, but if you're still working on polishing the translations, though I'm not sure if it's a game error or a patch error where a scene at the telephone poles are inaccessible... Let me know if I should give you further details about it!

Thank you, I've found the problem! Hopefully the new patch doesn't show any more errors. My own polishing is maybe four scenes behind that, so I can't say anything for any linebreaks and such, but at the very least the scene should play as it was meant to!

Hello, as always I want to thank you for the patch that I would be able to enjoy the game. And I have a few problems regarding the patch.

After the end of these two scenes every dialogue has turn into Japanese in every route:
- Mikoto calls Tougo in Day 5 of Tougo route
- Akujiki conversation in Day 3 of Akiyoshi route

I'd would be gratefull if you're able to check it out. Thank you so much!

Wow, thank you for the fast update! Akayoshi and Tougo's route works perfectly fine now. I'm now playing Sagano's route and there's one error that showed up:

On day 4, when I tried to get to Sagano Kindergarten this error box popped up saying:
「エラーが発生しました
　ファイル： E_saga1 30m.ks 行：14
タグ：不明（<-エラーの発生した前後のタグを示している場合もあります）
　文法エラーです (syntax error)」

There's also this minor thing which doesn't affect the play through much but I thought you'd like to know:

On day 5 route B of Akayoshi's route "Stand-off with Sagano", at the beginning of that part "Humans" and "Akitoshi" names are changed into Japanese.

Hello again for the third time! I've finished all endings and cleared the game. There's only one more error:

The error box that popped up is pretty much the same as the one I mentioned earlier except for this

I've been wanting to play this game for years, and now I've finally found how to download and experience the game to the fullest extent. I can't express how grateful I am so I just want you to know that you've made my day.

It's been years and I still come by every now and then to redownload the patch and refresh my memory of this amazing game. Thank you so much for your endless efforts in translating it. I love everything about it, the gorgeous art, the soundtrack, the LOVEABLE characters. I can't buy the game but i've bought the manga so hopefully the creators and you will be a little happier knowing your hard work did bring a lot of joy to one person at the very least :)
